Date: None
The Street Life exhibition, open to the public in the Fototeca de Cuba from last Friday and until next February 9, offers the viewer a different photographic sequence that portrays childhood and adolescence seen from the street.
Arien Chang, Juan Carlos Alom, Eduardo Herrera, Raúl Cañibano, Leysis Quesada among other exponents, were selected to illustrate with the lens this series whose central theme is children and adolescents in the urban life of Cuba in recent years.
According to its curator Grethel Morell, this collection of images represents a way to promote documentary photography on the Island and to make probable paths of a topic not exhausted: “A short and pulsating slice of a complex topic”.
Street life, in short, is a curatorial work in progress that opens and evades the commonplace of a common theme, a nod towards culture and society in perspective.
