Sports News: Cuban Judo by points for the Olympic ranking in Mexico

Six Cuban judocas appear among the participants in the Pan American Championship in the Mexican city of Guadalajara, scheduled for the 15th and 16th of this month. JIT digital indicates that Idalys Ortiz stands out in the group at +78 kg, and is also accompanied by Arnaes Odelín, Maylín del Toro, Kaliema Antomarchi, Orlando Polanco and Magdiel Estrada.

For the appointment, 125 athletes from 20 nations are announced, among them powers such as Brazil, the United States, Mexico and Canada. If those now registered confirm their presence, several important clashes are predicted to reach the title, which represents 700 points for the world ranking, also qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Cuba also has Iván Silva in 90 kg and Andy Granda in +100 enrolled in the classification for the multisport event, but they have not been able to travel to Guadalajara because they are still in Turkey.
