The Vietnamese National Assembly on Monday elected Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as head of state, replacing Nguyen Phu Trong. Press media also report the vote of the new Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh. The legislative body appreciated the results of the work of former president Phu Trong, who also served as general secretary of the Vietnamese Communist Party.
