The permanent representative of Russia before the international organizations based in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, rejected the statements of the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo on the alleged use of chemical weapons by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the Russian diplomat, Pompeo referred to an old document, published by the State Department, where he refers that during the Iran and Iraq war between 1980 and 1988, Tehran supposedly used chemical weapons and also supplied them to Libya between 1978 and 1987.
