The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Maria Fernanda Espinosa, will arrive in Cuba.

As part of his official visit, the Ghanaian president will be received by his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo. In addition, pay tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, in the memorial that bears his name in this capital, and African heroes.

The University of Havana was founded in 1728 by the Dominican friars belonging to the Order of Preachers. The visit of the African head of state to the Antillean nation will take place in the context of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Ghana, reported CubaSí.
