Havana and Matanzas only provinces with active cases of Covid-19

At the close of yesterday, June 15, 400 patients were admitted to hospitals for epidemiological clinical surveillance. Another 552 are monitored in primary health care. For COVID-19, 2,582 samples were studied, resulting in 11 positive samples.

The country accumulates 138,831 samples made and 2,273 positive (1.6%). Therefore, at the close of yesterday 11 new cases are confirmed, for a cumulative of 2,273 in the country.

Of the 11 confirmed cases, 10 were Cuban and a foreigner. Of these, six were contacts of confirmed cases and five did not specify the source of infection. Of the 11 diagnosed cases, four (36.4%) were men and seven (63.6%) women. By age group they were: under 40 years old, five cases (45.4%), followed by 40 to 59 years old, and those over 60 years old with three cases (27.3%) respectively. 27.3% (3) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
