Diaz-Canel recognizes popular support in recovery after the tornado

The president of the councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, acknowledged on Wednesday the thousands of people participating in the recovery after the passage of the tornado.
In the space of the Round Table, the head of state highlighted the collective work, discipline and solidarity, as well as respect and concern for each citizen.
Díaz-Canel highlighted the efficiency, promptness, commitment and willingness with which the cadres have faced each of the tasks. He emphasized that until this moment more than 9 thousand people have been assisted in the offices of procedures.
In as much, 5700 affectations have been concluded in the lifting of procedures. It is noteworthy that more than 50 percent of those affected have in their hands the materials for the construction or repair of their homes and 900 cases already have a total solution.
Diaz – Canel said that these events have been possible due to the high sensitivity to which the officials were summoned, in order to guarantee adequate attention to the victims.
In another moment of his speech, the Cuban president highlighted the work of the press and described it as an exercise in democracy. He also mentioned the international context and the attempts to promote a coup in Venezuela, as well as the new maneuvers of the OAS to create campaigns against Cuba.
Likewise, Díaz-Canel referred to the new stage of recovery, which he described as challenging, in which the support of grassroots leaders, the “anonymous heroes”, will be vital.
Finally, the Cuban leader referred to the manipulations that they have wanted to foment from the outside to discredit the response of the Cuban government, regarding the recovery.
