Cuba will build a bio electric plant and a wind park with Indian credit

Cuba will build a bio electric plant which will be associated to a sugar plant, and a wind park of 50 megawatts through a credit given by India, affirmed in New Delhi the Cuban Minister of Energy and Mines, Raúl García.

The official attends together with the director of Renewable Energy of this sector, Rosell Guerra, to several events in this city to impulse the use of the energy coming from the Sun and from which Cuba is a founder member country.

The bio electric plant is projected to be installed nearby the sugar plant November 30th, in Artemisa, whereas the wind park –Río Seco uno- will be made in Holguín.

The largest of the West Indies has already installed 51 solar photovoltaic parks with a total potency of 115 megawatts in the whole national territory for another 65 megawatts.
