With these figures, the largest of the Antilles accumulates 90,408 diagnosed with the disease and 491 deaths since March 2020, said the national director of Epidemiology of the MINSAP, Doctor Francisco Durán García.

Cuban health authorities confirmed this Thursday 1004 new cases with COVID19 and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours. With these figures, the Caribbean country accumulates 90,408 diagnosed with the disease and 491 deaths since March 2020, said the national director of Epidemiology of the MINSAP, Doctor Francisco Durán García.

He explained that to date 24,408 patients remain admitted, of them 3,704 suspects, 15,964 under surveillance and 4,740 still active with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the pathogen that causes COVID19.In the 25 molecular biology laboratories of the island, they analyzed 20,672 real-time PCRs for the detection of the coronavirus. Cuba thus reaches 3,298,208 tests carried out during more than a year of the pandemic’s presence in the national territory.
