The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, expressed on Thursday his repudiation of the repressive actions of Bolivian military against followers of former president Evo Morales, who is in exile in Mexico.

The repression against the followers of Evo Morales ends Bolivia

In his profile on the social network Twitter, the Cuban dignitary said that militarization and repression against Bolivians defending Evo shake the country, where the neoliberal right has trampled on democracy with the violence of an unconstitutional coup d’etat

Hours ago and by the same route, Díaz Canel said that the attack perpetrated against the leader of the Movement to Socialism constitutes a blow to the heart of democracy and the peoples of Latin America. He also reaffirmed his solidarity with the first president of indigenous origin in the history of Bolivia who, during his office, removed the country from poverty and catapulted him to be one of the most prosperous in the Americas.
