The fragility of world trade, the crisis accentuated in the Amazon by recent fires and relations with Russia are among the issues discussed here during the first two days of the G7 summit.
In a context marked by the aftermath of the commercial war unleashed by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, against China, the forum has been the scene of calls for stability and dialogue, given the fear of investors and the fall of markets, but especially in the face of the danger of a global recession.
For its present, the Amazon issue also occupied spaces in the first sessions and meetings of the meeting of the leaders of Germany, Canada, the United States, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom, amid fires that destroy the so-called lung of the planet .
In this regard, Macron told reporters here his vision about the need to boost reforestation in the Amazon, assuming it as a global concern for the impact of that region on biodiversity, oxygen supply and the fight against climate change.
In the case of Russia, the participants in the G-7 summit valued the importance of the approach to Moscow, but considered it hastened to talk about their return to the group.
The West excluded the Eurasian power in 2014, after accusing it of unleashing the conflict in eastern Ukraine and annexing Crimea.
Other issues discussed on the first two dates of the meeting were the conflicts in Syria and Libya, and the dispute with Iran.
