United Kingdom: part and target of its own game

Three years after the referendum that said yes to Brexit, the UK is still hoping to “regain control”. The phrase that translated into votes the dissatisfaction with neoliberalism, the relationship with Brussels, and the deepest fears about how to deal with the challenges, remains hanging from the air.
And control is just what it costs them to maintain since the process began to establish the terms of the divorce with the European Union and the type of relationship in the future. Two pending, given that the agreement negotiated by Teresa May with Brussels ended up being shipwrecked, not one, but three times, thanks to the refusal of the British Parliament.
With the resignation of the premier, the day went from cloudy to rainy. Now Boris Johnson is the favorite to the position, his key role in the campaign in favor of the exit, makes him credible before the conservative bases to realize the Brexit. The same ones that can give you the reins of the organization and the Government before the end of the month. But Johnson inspires little trust beyond his audience. His promise of “do or died” in reference to the commitment to remove the United Kingdom from the EU bloc on October 31, without agreement if necessary, has irritated much of the House of Commons, where most of the deputies oppose to leave the block, without agreement.
That and the fact that Johnson does not dismiss suspending the British Parliament, if necessary, to enforce a harsh Brexit, led several to threaten legal action and others (such as banks) to prepare. Will it be effective for the Tories to handle that letter when Brussels made it clear that it will not re – negotiate, that it is “a take or leave” that is offered? It is to see who works intransigence. A hard Brexit must be put to the vote in Parliament, where it is likely to be rejected, which would precipitate the call for general elections, opening the possibility that the Labor leader, Jeremy Corbyn, will rise with the victory.
The Tories would not like to see their maneuvers end in the triumph of the opposition, especially when Corbyn supports the call for a second referendum and has said that, given that possibility, will campaign for the United Kingdom to remain in the bloc. In short, a tail that bites, is the process of facing Brexit. At this point, the United Kingdom is part and target of its own game.
