The first Cuban vaccine candidate against COVID-19, Soberana 01, was officially presented this Wednesday at the Palace of the Revolution, after receiving authorization from the State Center for the Quality Control of Medicines (CEDMED) to start clinical trials. The announcement was made during a meeting of the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez with representatives of scientific and academic institutions that participate in the confrontation with the new coronavirus.
