Presidents Xi Jinping and Joe Biden held their first telephone conversation on Wednesday since the US president won the election and took office in January. In a statement, the US Government indicated that the heads of state exchanged views on issues such as the fight against the pandemic and global health security, climate change and the prevention of the proliferation of weapons.

”The president Biden is committed to making practical and results-oriented commitments when it is in the best interests of the American people and our allies, “he concluded. The White House explained that the US president shared his greetings and good wishes for the Chinese people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
