Mexico will denounce Bolivia for harassment of its embassy in La Paz
Date: None

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrad reported Wednesday that his country will file a complaint with the International Criminal Court for police and military harassment suffered by his embassy in Bolivia.

Violation of diplomatic obligations

During the morning conference of the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Mexican Foreign Minister said that elements of surveillance at the diplomatic headquarters of La Paz increased from six to 90 since December 23.

Ebrad said that the legal instrument of complaint is presented for the violation of diplomatic obligations by the de facto government installed after the coup against President Evo Morales. He also stated that there is no precedent for similar harassment against a diplomatic headquarters in Mexico.
