Japan: Control of immigration law project is approved

The Japanese government approved a project to revise the immigration control law in order to allow the hiring of foreign workers in different sector.

The decision was made in the face of a serious labor crisis caused by the rapid aging of the population and the decline in the birth rate.

The project, approved by the Cabinet today, will allow qualified foreign workers to apply for newly created visas that cover a variety of sectors from agriculture and construction to nursery and nursing.
