ICAIC: 60 years of witnessing the history of Cuba
Date: None
The Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry since its creation in 1959, has fostered not only the development of cinema, but also other artistic expressions such as posters and music.
At 60, it is appropriate to validate and recognize their contributions to Cuban and universal culture.
The creation of ICAIC with Alfredo Guevara as an essential figure represented much more than the desire to develop a national film industry; the existence of this institution led to an unprecedented cultural movement in our country that soon transcended the borders of the island to reach Latin America and other parts of the world.
