Díaz-Canel attends the analysis of the Housing Program in the National Assembly

The president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, attends this Wednesday the second day of work of the Committee on Industry, Constructions and Energy, prior to the fourth regular session of the National Assembly of Popular Power in its IX Legislature .

The deputies, who are members of this Commission, analyze this Wednesday the results of the control and supervision carried out on the housing program in the country, one of the issues with the greatest social impact.

Topics to debate presented by the Ministry of Construction:

Compliance with the national housing program at the end of November.

Results obtained in linking students and university professors of careers related to the housing program.

Compliance with the measures outlined by the Ministry of Construction (MICONS) to address the country’s energy situation.

Analysis of the situation presented by the approaches included in the plan of the economy.

The Vice-Presidents of the Council of Ministers, Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez and Inés María Chapman Waugh, are also present in the room of the Convention Center of Havana, the deputies analyze the results in the control and supervision of the housing program in the country, one of the issues with the greatest social impact.

The commission of Industry, Constructions and Energy has the function of assisting the National Assembly and the State Council in the highest supervision of the Ministries of Industry, Construction and Energy and Mines, and the institutes of Physical Planning and Hydraulic Resources.

In addition, it draws up bills and agreements; rules on the matters that are submitted for examination; performs the studies entrusted to them; and participates in the verification of compliance with the decisions adopted by the National Assembly and the Council of State that are programmed in their work plans.
