Cuban Foreign Minister receives American activist Benjamin Chavis

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, received the activist, Benjamin Chavis, executive director of the National Association of Newspaper Publishers of the United States (NNPA).

On the social network of Twitter, Bruno Rodríguez stressed that Chavis is an activist, recognized defender of civil rights.

The Cuban Foreign Minister explained that Chavis ratified the commitment of the American people, particularly those of African Americans, “with the ties between both countries and against the blockade.”

The goal of the NNPA, an association created in 1940 in the city of Chicago, Illinois, and based in Washington, is to publish truthfully issues related to the struggle for freedom, justice and equality. The NNPA brings together more than 200 community newspapers owned by African Americans throughout the United States. and identifies itself as the voice of the black community.
