Cuba-Luxembourg: a fraternal meeting between leaders

The Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, José Ramón Machado Ventura, received on Thursday a delegation of the Communist Party of Luxembourg, chaired by its Secretary General, Ali Ruckert.

In the fraternal meeting both leaders analyzed the challenges of the international situation, as well as the increase in the aggressiveness of the policy of the United States government against Cuba, characterized by the reinforcement of the extraterritorial measures of the blockade and the application of Title III of the Helms-Burton Law. The meeting helped to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two parties and to foster mutual solidarity.

According to a note issued by the Cuban Embassy in Belgium, the delegation of the Communist Party of Luxembourg, during his stay in the Caribbean nation will also hold meetings with officials of the Cuban Workers’ Center, social and mass organizations.

Likewise, they will meet in the largest of the Antilles with researchers from the Center for International Policy Studies, to discuss the role of the left and the Communist Parties in Europe.
