['Please Enter Your Name Here']
Date: None
The permanent representative of Cuba to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, Pedro Luis Pedroso, condemned the scourge of racism and xenophobia that still prevail in the 21st century in the vast majority of countries in the world. During his speech at the Session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Cuban diplomat reiterated the need to implement the Durban Action Program.
The document, established at the TWO THOUSAND World Conference against Racism in that South African city, adopts the actions that allow achieving equality between peoples. As Pedroso himself publishes on his official Twitter profile, in his participation he also denounced the violent actions committed against the Afro-descendant community, especially the case of the American George Floyd.
