Venezuela and Cuba refine on Tuesday the mechanisms of bilateral and international cooperation, acting as a solid block against the hegemonic governments, said the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian nation, Delcy Rodríguez.
Through a message spread on the social network Twitter, Rodriguez highlighted the brotherhood ties between the two countries and common interests, based on denouncing the aggressions of the United States government.
During a meeting held yesterday with the vice president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, both officials discussed the attacks faced by the US administration of Donald Trump. In this regard, Rodriguez recalled that the official US spokesmen openly and publicly admit that they try to suffocate the economies of sovereign nations, with maneuvers that flagrantly violate the law of international law.
In a context in which the United States intensifies its hostile policy against Venezuela and Cuba, the negative impact of coercive measures is noted in the cooperation programs promoted by both Latin American nations.
The previous year, the Trump administration intensified the aggressions against Caracas and Havana, with the purpose of preventing the bilateral relationship of strategic scope and generating the conditions to cause a regime change in the Bolivarian nation. The economic asphyxiation actions implemented by the Washington government cause effects on binational projects in sectors as sensitive as health and education, among others. However, both countries are currently strengthening their bilateral agreements to deal with attacks and economic persecution.
Thanks to the strategic vision of the revolutionary leaders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013), on October 30, 2000, the Integral Collaboration Agreement between Cuba and Venezuela was signed in Caracas. As part of this alliance, to date, exchange projects were signed, with emphasis on health services, drug supplies, advice and preparation of human resources in educational, sports, cultural and productive programs.
