The University of Moa, Dr. Antonio Núñez Jiménez, constitutes the governing center in Cuba in the careers of Geology, Mining and Metallurgy. The house of higher studies not only trains professionals for the nickel industry in Cuba but also for other sister countries in Africa and the Caribbean. In the year in which it celebrates 45 years of being founded, like other higher centers, its teaching processes face new challenges imposed by the COVID19 pandemic.
