The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Executive Calendar #6 Sean Duffy, of Wisconsin, to be Secretary of Transportation, post-cloture.
At approximately 12:00 noon, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Duffy nomination.
Following disposition of the Duffy nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:00pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
At approximately 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #3, H.R.23, ICC bill.
During Monday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on the following nominations:
1. Executive Calendar #8 Lee Zeldin, of New York, to be Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency
2. Executive Calendar #9 Douglas Burgum, of North Dakota, to be Secretary of the Interior
3. Executive Calendar #10 Christopher Wright, of Colorado, to be Secretary of Energy
4. Executive Calendar #7 Douglas Collins, of Georgia, to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs
