Groundwork’s Lindsay Owens on DOJ’s RealPage Lawsuit: “Price-fixing must be stopped”

Today, the Department of Justice sued software company RealPage for alleged collusion on prices in the rental housing market. Groundwork Collaborative’s Executive Director Lindsay Owens applauded the action in the following statement:

“Today is a good day for renters and families and a bad day for predatory landlords. The Department of Justice is right to take on the affordability crisis that RealPage has been supercharging. “Algorithms are being used to unfairly drive up prices for housing, meat, and more. This price-fixing must be stopped.”
