Commuter Alert! What NYC subway and Metro-North lines are running? [1]

Commuters traveling by subway across New York City on Friday are going to face delays and suspended service as a result of the heavy rain and flooding.
The MTA announced severe disruptions this afternoon due to heavy flooding in the system.
"Service across our network is severely disrupted due to this extreme rainfall. Please stay home if you don't need to travel," the MTA said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Here is an update as of 2:30 p.m. (according to the MTA's subway account on X):

1 service is suspended between 137 St. and South Ferry
2 trains are suspended in Brooklyn and most of Manhattan, running only between Wakefield 241 St and Chambers St
3 service is running extremely limited between New Lots Av and Crown Hts-Utica Av
4 trains are suspended in most of Brooklyn with no service between Bowling Green and Crown Hts-Utica Av.
5 trains are suspended in Brooklyn, running only between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St.
6 trains are suspended in both directions between 86th St. and 3rd Ave-138 St.
7 trains are running with local service
A trains are operating with delays
B service is suspended in both directions
C trains are operating with extremely limited service and a suspension of service at many platforms
D trains are running with "extensive delays" in both directions
E trains are running with "extensive delays" in both directions
F trains resumed service between Jamaica-179 St and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in both directions
G service is operating between Church Av and Bedford-Nostrand Avs in both directions
J trains are running with no active alerts
L train service is suspended in both directions between 1 Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs
M service has resumed with all normal stops
N service is taking place only between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and 34 St - Herald Square
Q trains are suspended between Manhattan and Brooklyn with extremely limited service between 96 St and 57 St-7Av
R trains are running but stopping along the Q line between Canal St and DeKalb Av in both directions
S trains are operating with extremely limited service
W train service is suspended
Z service is operating with delays
Staten Island Railway service is extremely limited with service suspended at many stations
There is only extremely limited subway service available because of heavy flooding.

Metro-North service suspended
Metro-North Railroad service on the Harlem and New Haven lines is suspended between Manhattan and the Bronx. Limited Hudson line service was restored around 5 p.m.
"Customers are strongly advised to not travel until we can restore train service," the railroad posted on X, formerly Twitter.
We strongly advise to travel as early as possible. Limited Hudson Line service is restored while Harlem & New Haven remains suspended between Manhattan & The Bronx; build in added time to get to the Bronx via the subway for continuing MNR service. Metro-North announced New York City Transit is cross-honoring fares on the subway for travel to and from Grand Central.
Northbound Hudson line service will originate at Yankees-E 153 St and northbound Harlem Line service is originating at Wakefield. Eastbound New Haven line service is originating at Williams Bridge.

Airports facing delays, cancelations, and flooding roadways
Hundreds of flights into and out of the NYC area have been canceled or delayed.
In addition, La Guardia Airport said Terminal A is closed and will resume for service by 4 a.m. Saturday impacting flights of Frontier and Spirit.

Alternate side parking suspended
The New York City Department of Transportation announced alternate side parking rules were suspended for Friday, Sept. 29. The previously scheduled suspension for Saturday, Sept. 30 will remain in effect.
New York City issued a travel advisory for Friday and Saturday.
Amtrak northeast trains experiencing delays through New York
Long Island Rail Road running as scheduled
The Far Rockaway line of the LIRR is terminating at Valley Stream. Otherwise, MTA officials said as of 5 p.m., LIRR service is running as scheduled.
PATH trains running as scheduled
As of 2:15 p.m. Friday, the PATH system was not reporting any issues on their PATH Alerts social media account.
