Amtrak has suspended service between Albany and New York City.

Throughout the weekend, flooding has caused damage throughout West Point and Orange County. That prompted Gov. Kathy Hochul to declare a state of emergency in those areas.

The flooding caused several vehicles to get stuck in Orange County.

Homes were also flooded and in at least one case, completely swept away. The rain also caused mudslides to wash away parts of roads.

Water in Putnam County was seen rushing down into stairwells. State Police are also sharing photos of trees down, with a lot of water on the Palisades Parkway.

Other roads nearby in Rockland County were also hit hard by flooding, police there say.

The heavy rain continues, and was expected to further affect New York City and Long Island on Monday.
