The Batman II's release date has been pushed back [1]

['Grant St. Clair']

Date: 2024-03-12

2022's The Batman proved that it was possible to make good Batman movies without ripping off The Dark Knight. A sequel was a foregone conclusion, and an official 2025 release date was even announced.

Unfortunately, Batman II's release date has been pushed back an entire year to October 2026, ostensibly as a result of the strikes that have recently rocked the entertainment industry.

Matt Reeves' 'The Batman 2' is no longer opening on Oct. 3, 2025 –a new launchpad for Comic Book movies– rather Oct. 2, 2026. We hear the new date is due to the aftermath of the dual strikes https://t.co/hLNYUYRsrT — Deadline Hollywood (@DEADLINE) March 12, 2024

Hopefully, it'll measure up to its predecessor. Since Reeves clearly isn't interested in retreading Nolan's villains, my money is on Mr. Freeze making an appearance.
