Why the recent rash of anti-trans laws are based on junk science

My friend Tulika Bose recently joined the team at Scientific American as their new multimedia editor. In a recent video piece, she spoke with historian Jules Gill-Peterson about how old junk science has been repurposed as anti-trans talking points.

It's a great and informative video about the messy history of "biological sex" definitions. Unfortunately, though perhaps unsurprisingly, it has lead to a bit of harassment against Bose as well:
