Study shows Netflix has social media's largest carbon footprint

A recent study by the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences calculated the CO2 emissions of the top four social networks: TikTok, Facebook, Netflix, and YouTube. Netflix's high-quality video streams and their large number of users put that service at the top of the list.
