Fantasmagorie is an animation by carticturist Émile Cohl from 1908.

Although the animation itself is pretty simple, depicting cartoon outlines of characters against a dark background, it's remarkable that this was made over 100 years ago.

The simplicity of this cartoon just adds to its coolness, as do the the film's ghostly fizziness and the glowing outlines.
