'Clifford the Big Red Dog' introduces the uncanny valley of pets

I am afraid this beloved children's tale should have waited for a few more generations of CGI before getting made.

Smaller Clifford appears to look perhaps more real, or the detail when he is large is just too much?

I'll likely get sucked into it some late night I can not sleep.
