I can't find the full article that has researcher Richard Sclove's 1990s quote,
"Every lousy social trend will be exacerbated by this thing, if we're
not careful," but he nailed it, didn't he? Of course, USENET was in full swing around that time and you could see a lot of the same sociopathic behavior there, but it was limited to a much smaller group people with access to the Internet.
