Betty Boop is an animal rights activist in "Be Human" from 1936

"Be Human" is a Betty Boop cartoon from 1936 by Max Fleischer. It begins with Betty singing a song called "Be Human," which advocates for treating animals kindly. Her neighbor is a mean old animal abuser, and Betty is very distraught by this.

Luckily, the animal beater is given a taste of his own medicine by fellow animal rights activist Grampy, who puts the him on a treadmill attached to a mechanical whip. Betty and Grampy take delight in using Bronze Age justice to teach the cruel malefactor a lesson.

Betty Boop has a heart of gold, and is one of my role models!
