Yakuza boss issues ominous threat when he was sentenced to death

"I asked for a fair decision… You will regret this for the rest of your life," said 74-year-old yakuza boss Satoru Nomura to the judge who sentenced him to death for a number violent attacks since the late 1990s.

The court found Nomura guilty of ordering the 1998 murder of the head of a fisheries cooperative and a 2014 attack on the murdered man's relative.

He was also found guilty of ordering a 2013 knife attack against a nurse at a facility where Nomura had undergone botched penis enlargement surgery.

The court also found Nomura responsible for a 2012 shooting of an ex-police official because who was investing Nomura's syndicate.
