For general yard clean up, nothing beats a leafblower
2021-08-24 00:00:00
For yard work, I get the most visual impact for the least amount of effort and financial investment from my low-end electric leaf blower.
I am always shocked at the amount of sand, brake dust, leaves, and random bits of other folks' detritus that winds up in my yards. I sweep up several times a week, but every few weeks I bring out the leafblower. Simple to plug in, and on a long extension cord, wander around blowing everything into one corner where I can easily sweep it up.
The leafblower gets most of the sand and dust out of the concrete pours, and leaves it looking nearly as clean as when power washed.
I also recommend a huge movie theater-like dustpan.
I used to use my powerwash, and it always feels water wasteful. Now, I only need to break loose the powerwasher for semi-annual deep cleans.
