The White House on Tuesday released a list of Minnesota’s top infrastructure needs as part of President Joe Biden’s push for his $2 trillion infrastructure proposal.
The American Jobs Plan aims to remedy some of the nation’s most urgent infrastructure needs, from damaged bridges to unequal broadband access. Republicans and some business groups oppose the plan, which would be paid for in part by raising the corporate tax rate.
The infrastructure proposal includes $650 billion for drinking water, schools, broadband and housing; $621 billion for transportation; $580 billion for workforce development, manufacturing and research; and $400 billion for care for elderly and disabled people, The Washington Post reported.
