Description : War rages in Hell. Three blind lords rise up
to stand in judgment as their brothers battle
for dominance in some petty squabble....
Unfortunately for you, they decide to bash each
others' silicon-brains out right in the middle
of your marine practice area.
Man, have you got problems. Thought this was going
to be an easy run through the same-ol maze? Just
go take a peek around that pillar to your right
and tell me what you think... :)
Still alive?

LORDS OF HELL - DEATHMATCH VERSION (4 '95)
==========================================
Had a chance to test it in deathmatch mode last
weekend. Noticed a few bugs and got a few ideas.
Several new minor changes. The "shield-walls"
are especially fun if you don't know about them.
There are four or five major areas that provide
interesting fortresses. My favourite is
"the snipers pit" which opens up on the main
hall. Almost impossible to get into with just
two players. But get a pal to help you
root out your common enemy and... =)
Actually, each of the beta testers last week had
their own favourite places... some of which I just
enhanced by their desires, while I think I
didn't just introduce any major bugs, there
are no promises.
If you play WITH the monsters, be aware that
you don't HAVE to kill the cyber-demons to win.
But these secrets are best left for you to
figure out.... And there are several secrets.
"He who knows the secret ways shall prevail."
... everyone else gets fragged.
Hope the modifications I just made don't
change the balance of the game too much.
The play is JUST barely acceptable on a 486sx25
but a 486sx33 seems to be a good minimum.
Oh,...and sorry 'bout the UAC room. It was just
so bloody easy without it, so.... It does present
some problems doesn't it? :)

Revision B (sept 22 '95)
===================================
This WAD originally started out as a simple
modification to the standard map 1. The
intention of course was to give our local
serial and netcard foes, etc the surprise of
thier lives as they began playing what they
THOUGHT was just the straight ID level. :-)
The entry room and a length of hall SEEMED to
be the real thing, but as you went along
you would quickly become aware of the
horrible lie your eyes were witness too.
Anyway, Revision B comes about because even
though the rest of the level was original,
ID and McGee would of still frowned on the...
um... two or three? rooms that were part of the
original deception. (Even with all the lovely
booby-traps.) Oh well....
I spent a couple hours last night and completely
redid the offending parts. I hope it hasn't
completely destroyed the balance of the
original. That had been tested several times
in combat. This... well, has only been completely
run through by me once. No multi-player
testing yet. :(
You CAN play this by yourself. But I've also
added in enough tricky things that you can chase
down and murder your friends for hours on end! :)
If you find any bugs or have comments,
complaints, or want MORE then don't be shy.
Email me!
(
Oh, but if I don't get back to you for a
week or so, don't feel bad. I'll be busy
writting all the code I SHOULD have done
yesterday, afterall. :-)
