Note by the uploader : MEGADETH.WAD came originally with with files,
that added laser sight graphics and altered the
gameplay (MegaViolence Mode). These files worked
only with v. 1.2 of DooM and are included in this
upload to /idgames in dmmewa.zip. They have been
converted to work with v. 1.9 and added to this
package as laser.wad (laser sights) and mega.deh
(MegaViolence Mode).
The author created also some other WAD's, that
have been intended to be played with these game
changes. Because of that, they have been included
in this release by the uploader.
Description : * mega.deh *
In mega.deh is the MegaViolence mode. If you
use plain vanilla doom, you can load it with
dehacked (it's stored at utils/exe_edit/dhe31.zip
in the /idgames -archives, see list of mirrors at
the end of this file) into your doom.exe. If you
use an advanced source-port, you can load it with
the -deh -parameter.

* laser.wad *
Laser-sight graphics for weapons.
Newer source ports shouldn't have problems with
loading this graphics-replacement in combination
with the level-wads in this release.
But if you use plain vanilla doom, you should get
the latest version of DEUSF (
/utils/graphics_edit/deutex/deutex44.zip in the
/idgames -archives) and join them. If you do it
with MEGADETH.WAD, the command is:
DEUSF -join MEGADETH.WAD laser.wad (MEGADETH.WAD
now contains both wads).
Typing:
-append MEGADETH.WAD
will append the sprites & flats of Doom to that
WAD.
This will work also with the other level-wads in
this package. Again: Most newer source-ports
don't require this procedure.

* MEGADETH.WAD *
The ultimate DeathMatch level.
This level is specifically designed for
DEATHMATCH play.
It comprises 4 zones: the ATRIUM (centre); JSH
ZONE (East); ARENA (West); and the WARP ZONE
(North). There are also two SECRET ROOMS.
Each zone has its own theme, strategy and
secrets. Note that the skill levels (1-5) also
have a major effect on the strategies.
MEGADETH is designed to be played with monsters
present.
MEGADETH incorporates the use of enhanced
weapons.
Laser sights and MegaViolence mode are
independently switchable (see mega.deh and
laser.wad).

* KHOON.WAD *
KHOON is the Punjabi/Hindi version of MEGADETH
(sounds in that language).

DETHSTAR Version 1.1
It's a modified version of WARZONE4.WAD by
David M. Lewis. It is E1M4 in WARZONE0.WAD.

STARBASE Version 1.1
- A modified version of SPACE.WAD by Chris Badger.
The original, that works properly only with DooM
v. 1.2, can be downloaded here:

- A bugfixed version, that works properly with DooM
v. 1.9 can be found here:

The bug fix was made by Sean Hawthorne.
- That 1.2-only bug was also in the MEGADETH-
version, STARBASE.WAD. It was solved by the
uploader (FunDuke). The original version is
stored in starbold.zip.
