DMMUI v1.0
                         DooMMusic User Interface
                             Written By Pooka

What It Is :   DMMUI is a front end for DMMUSIC.EXE, a program which
allows you insert your own musical scores into DOOM.
I've included DMMUSIC v1.0 and MIDI2MUS in the Zipfile,
so you don't have to go looking for them. Hopefully their
              authors won't mind :)

Installation :    1. UnZIP the files into the directory which contains
                    your .MUS files.

                 2. Make sure that DMMUSIC.EXE is ALSO in that same
directory (the one you just put DMMUI into). It
should be included in the Zipfile, but if it's not
(or you have a better version of DMMUSIC you wish to
use), copy your DMMUSIC.EXE into the directory with
DMMUI. Whether or not DMMUI will be compatible with
future versions of DMMUSIC I don't know. I tested
DMMUI with DMMUSIC v1.0, so anything later than that
                    is not guaranteed to work.

                 3. Edit the DMMUI.INI file and change the directory to
where your DOOM.WAD file is located.

                 4. Run DMMUI!

Execution :     When you run DMMUI, the first screen will give you a list
of the .MUS files in the directory. Highlight one and press
Enter. If there are "More", press F1 for the next page.

Next, you will be given a list of missions. Pick one.

After that, you will be asked to confirm your choices. If
you messed up, you can select 'N' and start over. If you
are pleased with your choices, press 'Y'.

DMMUI will then ask you for the name of the PWAD file
you wish to create. If you enter a filename (whatever.wad),
DMMUSIC will create a PWAD of the mission you selected, but
with new music. If you enter '*', DMMUSIC will CHANGE THE
MUSIC IN YOUR DOOM.WAD FILE. If you don't want this, make
             sure to enter a filename.

That's it! The PWAD file will be in you DMMUI directory,
ready for play! Or if you didn't enter a PWAD filename, your
DOOM.WAD file will have new music. To play the PWAD, go to
your DOOM directory and type 'DOOM -FILE <path>\NEWMUSIC.WAD'.

Limitations :   If you want to make lots of PWADs, you'll have to run
DMMUI again. I don't know how to make BorlandC++ return
from an EXECL call. If you know how, please send me some
email and I'll update DMMUI (and give proper credit! yay!).

Epilogue :   This program was coded very quickly without much attention
paid to efficiency or style. Actually, if you need this
program, then you're really lazy, because DMMUSIC really
isn't very hard to use. I could only see this program being
handy if you have LOTS of PWADs to make, or have LOTS
of .MUS files you want to wade through. But, if you like it
and have a use for it, I'm glad. If not, DEL DMMUI.EXE.

Thanks to Chris Lambertus for revealing the Arg0 mystery.

If you have any problems, questions, flames, suggestions,
or know how to return from an EXECL call, please feel free
to send email to [email protected]. Thanks. Enjoy!
