SER6ALT.ZIP is a replacement/upgraded Executable for SER6.

To use, just copy over your old SER6.EXE file.

This new Executable changes/fixes
       -The Dreaded Scrolling Screen Bug when launching Doom
       -Re-Written Directory routine now allows full Dos wildcard usage

You Do Not need this file unless your encountering the Scrolling Bug, and
you don't care about the enhancement to the Directory routine.

I'm sorry for taking so long to fix the problem, but I wanted to make
sure it worked.  I have been sending this file to anyone upon request for
about a month and a half with no further reports of Bugs, so I hope this
fixes all problem anyone was having.

PS.  Both SER6/SER6alt are compatable with Heretic, just set DOOM2=0 and
DOOMEXE=HERETIC.EXE in the SER6.CFG file.
