DooM Assistant is Freeware DOS DooM-Engine game Shell which allows you:

* To store you WAD files in ZIP compressed format and unarchive them for
 you automatically when you wish to play them.

* Also with a few keystrokes you can change all the below DooM settings and
 tag a PWAD(s) before launching DooM:

 Episode & Map
 Level Timer
 Skill Level
 Class
 Monsters
 Turbo
 Fast Monsters
 Game Type (Single, Co-op, Deathmatch, Deathmatch V2.0)
 Connect Method (Modem: Dial, Answer, Already connected)
 Modem Port
 Baud Rate
 Stores upto 12 Phone numbers
 Launch Saved Games
 Use ZIPed or normal PWADs (can even unZIP PWADs automagically!!!)

 PWAD Names
 Beginning Episode/Map of PWAD(s)
 Highest Episode/Map of PWADS(s)
 Flags indicating Game Type supported
