Make sure you read algame.txt for general information pertaining
to AliensDOOM 2.0
HOW TO SET-UP YOUR SYSTEM TO PLAY ALIENSDOOM 2.0
1. If you are reading this message, you probably
have unzipped the file aliens20.zip But did
you use the -d option? Make sure you did, and
make sure you unzipped it into your DOOM directory.
to do this, type: "pkunzip -d aliens20.zip"
A directory called "aliensdm" should be created
with many files inside. Also a bunch of important
files will be created in your DOOM directory.
2. Edit the dehacked.ini file.
To do this, type "edit dehacked.ini"
Modify the paths to match your system as
indicated by the comments within the file.
3. Edit the aliensdm.bat file.
To do this, type "edit aliensdm.bat"
Look for the comments within the file which
contain a #### before it. These indicate what
you should change. Be sure to LEAVE EVERYTHING
ELSE AS IT IS!
4. Adding and Removing Special Sounds
To do this, type "speech" when on your DOOM directory.
This will replace certain sounds in the game with
some sounds which have language.
To remove the speech sounds, and put the sounds
that were there originally, type "nospeech" when
on your DOOM directory.
If you don't follow these directions correctly, you
will have a problem running AliensDoom 2.0. If you
followed everything correctly, you should be able to
type "aliensdm", and play AliensDoom 2.0!!
If you have any problems, try deleting all the files,
re-unzipping aliens20.zip. If you have any MAJOR problems,
