System used : AMD K-6 200 Mhz, 32MB RAM
Controls used : Keyboard only, standard keys
Free interpretation : E2M9, Tyson (chainsaw only) with -fast and
under par
Comments : Initially I wanted my free interpretation to
be E2M2 tyson, without getting hit at all,
but this was just too hard, you always get
hit by SOMETHING!
E3M3: Kills - 100%, Items - 100%,
Secrets - 100%, Time - 8:29 (par 1:30).
Nice and easy (and slow). I nearly got killed
by the first Baron and hesitated too much in
the slime where the Soul Sphere is, apart
from that there were no problems.
E1M7: Kills - 100%, Items - 97%,
Secrets - 100%, Time - 11:41 (par 3:00).
The hard part is not running out of ammo at
the start. How do you get that damn chainsaw?
Oh yeah, the switch! Fourth time lucky!
E4M8: Kills - 100%, Items - 100% (hopefully),
Secrets - 100%, Time - 16:12 (LMPC).
This one took me a long time to do. Six
Barons of Hell to punch to death, and heaps
of other monsters. I nearly died in the slime
when my rad suit was running out, if I only
had one more second or so.
Free (E2M9): Kills - 100%, Items - 100%,
Secrets - 100%, Time - 2:08 (par 2:50).
Pretty easy, just dodge all the fireballs
until the monsters kill each other. Barons vs
cacodemons - the cacodemons won. By the way
that little bit where I spin around with the
chainsaw is the authentication dance, in case
you didn't notice.
Author info : 18 years old, first year university student.
I still use the keyboard, because I like it
and I don't like the mouse, even though I
admit it does let you move and turn faster.
