Comments:
MAP32 - (Assigned, Easy) Nothing special here. Dance at beginning, grab
the Invulnerability, and run.
MAP05 - (Assigned, Medium) That's more like it ... some challenge! Was
having a rough time of it until I watched someone else's recording.
Still took me a few times after that. Dance is in the middle, after
killing some imps and shotgunners near the mega-armor.
MAP06 - (Assigned, Hard) Also a fine challenge, I was hating life until
I watched another recording. Lots of plasma and health make this possible,
albeit difficult. Took me 20 runs or so. Dance is while waiting for the
crusher to mangle the big, hairy spider.
MAP25 - (Base expander, rated hard) The base for Incubus is quite full!
So I decided to tackle this level (lots of plasma, definite separate
areas) but discovered it took me about 100 tries to get it right! Dance at
start (awakening a few shotgunners, of course). Then it's off to the
races. This recording is probably the most interesting in this set.
"Cool" thing to look for ... right before I kill the baron near the end
(or is it a Hell Knight?), he shoots some green slime at me, I shoot a
rocket. He gets pounded, I run *under* his shot. Looks great in playback
mode in the map with monsters & shots visible!
MAP16 - (Free Interpretation) Well, I couldn't think of a fancy free
interp, so I decided to wade through the Suburbs in UV mode. Run & gun
most of the way ... dance is after I pick up invisibility, at the
location where the Combat Shotgun originally gets acquired. Highlights
include fine BFG shots at the final building with the exit ... three
shots clears them all out.
A word of warning ... I once recorded this, but during the recording I
changed my sound volume (louder, so I could listen for a stray monster),
and in doing so, the playback was out of sync with the recording. Oops,
had to redo the whole thing.
Author Info:
My 9th title (D1M, D1SG, D1GM, D1I, D1T, D2M, D2SG, D2GM as well).
All that's left is D2T, which will probably be the hardest of them
all (in my opinion).
