System used : 486 Dx 4 100, (8 meg) with a SB 16 , -phase and
some nifty koss portapro headset..
Controls used : keyboard + mouse (The only Way) using
w,e,r and space for both running and use.
Free interpretation : I got the newest bases.txt. Level 13 was'nt in it.
So, I did that level, quite easy. The last easy
level, I thought. Checked bases.txt the day later.
level 13 was added by s. Wildlake. I hate him! ;))
So i thought I could include this one here....
Comments :
Level 32: This was my first recording. VERY easy.
Nothing to it, grab the invul (or don't) and blaze through...
Someone did this on 0:14. That's a nice run... I'm a bit slower though...
Level 10: Medium it was.. Kill some at the beginning, and don't get tempted
to run for it... ;) this is the fastest route methinks, does anyone
disagree? The revenant / arachnatron room has some problems, but when
you're through this one the rest's "easy" ...
Level 6: With this technique, it's a medium level. Get some plasma gun, kill
some imps.. take the "far" route through the start-room, and hopefully, the
revenant won't follow.. (He does occasionally though, get 21nm66??.zip
from lmps/COMPET-N/MOVIE )
Kill some more imps. And here comes the clue: DON'T trigger the linedef
that opens the revenant cage... You'll save a LOT of plasma...
(probably blodplasma too.. ;) )
And if you're not to lasy, don't trigger the one to the imp room either.
At the end room: Don't open the mid cage with all the monsters..
I did by mistake though... ;)
Jump to the exit door, and you're home free.... Should maybe be an
medium level?
[When everybody studies each other's technique's it's easy.. ;) ]
Level13: Watch the lmp. When you're not in a rush, it's not to
difficult.
Level19: A Hard level. The beginning is _very_ tricky, I failed at
50% of my tries. The spider is VERY anoying when he starts to open the door.
Then you have some free time, and then you go for the first key.
This is THE route to take, methinks... All the way through you have to run,
and always, something happens that you don't see coming...
[But that's nightmare.. ;) ]
Critical points: After the first teleport. The beginning. Exiting the
caco/spider room, when the demons are telep'ed, the end...
This route [which i had to work on a lot for a change.. solves a lot of
problems, try other routes and watch for yourself! ;) ]
