Free interpretation: Map 05 on Nightmare !
Comments : First: I have an own email address !!

[email protected]>
Map 30: Needed many many tries (about 30 I think). Had an absolutely bad
percentage when trieing to hit J. Romero's (how did Mustaine call
it - snobbish ?) head. But with each try I got better. This level
is not that easy, as on Nightmare you only have 4 to 7 tries, so
have to stay cool.
Map 10: This is the Map I substituted MAP03 for. I already played MAP03 for
my Master-FREE.LMP (in quite nice 45 seconds !), so 'why play it
again ?' I said to myself. This was the first MAP I recognized to
be an Out-of-Base level. But the first tries brought me down even
under earth ;-) No running through possible on NM ! So I changed
my tactic in the beginning, killing the shotgunners and then run.
The real problem was the tons-of-shotgun-Charlies room, because
I'm used to get the SoulSphere (UV !). On NM I have three (!) BFG
shots, which makes it rather easy... (Thanx to ZlatkO The GodFatheR
he visited and watched me playing, and suddenly said 'Why don't you
just go IN the room with the demons ??? Didn't know the answer ;-(
Map 16: My original Out-of-Base level. Biggest problem was to find a place
for authentication, although this level is not too easy. There
isn't more to say, watch it.
Map 06: Oh yes, that's it. Trained a long time before requesting the Incubus
Nowadays I must say that this level is not that hard, as all the
people say (for example Jonathan Hoof). While training I thought
need the cells in the Crusher Room for the later coming Revenants
I tried several tricks to get Spider fight against the Imps, but
that's too complicated and costs a lot of health although ot works,
too. You just have to increase your NM skill including effience of
kills, coolness and mouse control (Watch Steffen Winterfeldt !!)
This time is much better than my current COMPET-N entry with 6:00.
FREE (Map 05): First I wanted to do play MAP04, then die and play MAP05
(to help all those people who requested an Incubus exam (oh what a
social boy ;-)) I think these two maps are harder than MAP06. MAP04
is not medium !!! It's almost impossible (I gave up after a few
hundred tries (one dying in the exit room facing the five chain-
gunners)) MAP05 is also very hard, but not that impossible cause
you get armor and health in the beginning. Ok let's upload and go to
bed (another five o'clock in the morning day ends)
Authenticated after getting the MegaArmor.
Author info : 24 year old software engineer who started playing DooM
in January '95. Everything went on just normally, until
I saw Steffen Winterfeldt's Famous DooM II Nightmare Run
(anyone who hasn't seen it yet, download it *now* from
ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/doom/lmps/doom2/1.9/doom2nm.zip).
This was the point where I had to decide whether to stop
or to *really* start playing DooM - with mouse and
seperate strafing keys (strafe *on* SUX! ;-). Well, so
here's my D2I exam,
Thanx to especially ZlatkO again for helping with MAP10
Watch out for his new LMPs in the COMPET-N 100% kills &
secrets category for DooM ! Poor little Elco de Vries ...
