Substitutions?          : YES, E3M6 with E3M1, E2M1 and E2M2
System used             : P133 32Mb - S3 2Mb VRAM - sbpro compatible
Controls used           : keyboard + 3-button mouse, standard keyboard
                         layout plus :

                           s - back
                           a - strafe left
                           d - strafe right
end - fire (to avoid firering while holding down
                           left-shift (run)).

I got myself one of those "3M Precise Mousing
Surface" mousemats. I like it a lot. I can
recommend it to any dedicated 3D action game
player. And no, I'm not connected to 3M in any
                         way. Trademark acknowledged.

Free interpretation     : E2M3 Master rules. Did it fairly agressive. Some
none-berserk punching. One of my better lmps IMHO.

Comments                :

I decided to do my D1SG on the Ultra Violence skill level as per amendment
(included). I didn't want my title devaluated when DHT6 rolls around. The UV
skill level increases the difficulty of the title a lot. It's no longer an
easy way to increase your number of titles. The D1SG level set needs a re-think a la D2SG IMHO. For example: E1M4 (medium) needs to get bumped to
hard at the very least. I read somewhere that lmps with cheat codes in 'm
don't replay otherwise I would have included a god mode lmp of E1M4 as the
free. The best time I've ever done had 2 secs to spare ( incl. compensation
for typing the cheat). I can't see it beeing done... You either loose too
much time or take massive damage in the narrow corridor after the blue door.
Blasting yourself over the gap to the exit with a rocket launcher? Maybe, but
is that really the sort of stuff for a basic title? -I can't do it. I either
die or don't make it across, and that's with the soul sphere BTW. Anyway,
it's up to our illustrious director fms to decide on that. There's always the
appeal mechanism.

Onto the lmp's :

Why did I substitute that nice, easy E3M6? Well, I couldn't get anywhere near
Hunter's time. ;-)

E2M1 : Technically not a peacefull start, but the former human troopers don't
come for you, so I did a dance anyway. I'd rank this one as medium,
not hard. Just pick up the loose bandoliers after the first teleport,
so you don't run out of ammo near the end.

E2M2 : Not a peacefull start, so no dance. Easy, grab the berserk and run
like hell. Notice the hiding on the rising staircase. BTW, turn left
after taking the red key or 9 times out of 10 the demon will beat
you back to the blue door.

E3M1 : Again, technically not a peacefull start. But you're in a pit...
so what's going to happen? - I dance. Nearly made it without getting
hurt, but I got cocky near the end. Check to see no imp got into
the narrow corridor (with the demons) with you.

E2M4 : Peacefull start, i.e. a dance. Again, medium?? Ample time and you only
need to get the first baron in a fight with the imps... the rest is
      downhill. - Easy!!

E2M7 : Not a peacefull start by any stretch of imagination, so guess what...
I have no trouble calling this hard. You need a bit of luck in
grabbing the berserk and the invulnerability without the pinko's
getting in the way and the section behind the yellow door is surely
no walk in the park. Watch out for the imp behind you as you open the
yellow door. I tried to hurry but the Middle Mouse Button (forward!)
      started acting up.

FREE : Everthing's been done before, so I just played a level that I hadn't
attempted before master style (I prefer to play episodes). This is my
3rd try. I did some non-berserk punching to conserve ammo.
How come the shotgun got selected as I accidentally ran over the ammo?
I know I'd selected fist (I had pistol ammo, so I didn't run out).
The level is E2M3, BTW and the dance is after I pick up the soul
sphere -before crossing the acid again to kill the beholder/demons/
      spectre in the final room.

Author info : My second Doom 1 title (got a D1M). I only started strafing
with the keyboard after I watched some the advanced title lmps.
It's a must of you want to be succesfull in DM (and DHT!) and
it's helped my game a lot. I like the extra adrenaline rush
that playing for the DHT gives me, so you can bet I'll be back
for more. Onto a couple of Doom 2 titles... cya!
