Free interpretation     : E3M9 at UV under par (2:15/2:15)
This was one of my levels for my first exam
back in the DHT3 days.  So, I have a special
fondness for it.  Anyway, I did it under par
at UV.  Didn't kill everything since there
just isn't time.  This was a stylistic
stretch for me since I'm not a speed player,
                         I'm a kill-them-all-dead player.   But, after
this little experiment, maybe I will try the
D1SG and D2SG challenges.  Oh, and I could
have shaved off about 10 seconds if I had
avoided a few dawdles.  So, I figure a really
good speed player could get it in 2:00 flat.

Comments                : E1M4 - authenticated at the start
E1M9 - authenticated after cleaning out the plaza
E2M2 - authenticated after killing one Imp
E3M9 - authenticated, died, ran for par

After conquering the D2GM title before anyone else,
I slacked off and did not actively pursue
completion of my other challenges.  Well, I did
all the required stuff on a Sunday and then got
stuck on what to do for the Free Interpretation.
After all with all the talent out there,
it's hard to do something impressive that hasn't
been done to death.  Take a look at all the
DOOM 2 Map07 (Simple Dead) Nightmare LMPS out
there if you don't believe me.

So, I decided that I'd better the D1SG folks
by doing one of the levels at UV rather than
HMP and still make par.  It's not as easy as
I thought it would be, but I still dawdle too
long collecting health and ammo.  Bad habit
from the kill-all days.  I also had to stop
bouncing off the walls since that slows you
                         down alot.

Author info             : I'm the first D2GM.  That's my claim to fame.
I'm also the archiver for the idgames/lmps
directory on ftp.cdrom.com.  So, I'll be
expediting the delivery of your exam files
to the repository.  Other than that, I'm just
a regular DOOM/DOOM2/HERETIC player.  Of course,
I have strayed off onto ROTT and DARK FORCES a
bit.  Sometimes even WC3.  But, I always come
back to good old DOOM eventually (okay, I like
DOOM2 better because of the double-barrel jobber).
