I had a look at all the other LMP's out there and
couldn't find or think up anything that hasn't been done
before or to death... So I had a look at the D1GM Base and
found out that E2M3 through E2M8 had not been done. I picked
E2M3 as the level to do as it was the easiest of the set.
So I thought! Must have tried this about 500 times, finally did
it 100% everything except for Armour. Demon's & Spectre's can
do quite the fine job of "CHAW-IN'" the health out of you on the
fast setting. Nothing fancy about this level, unlike most of you
I have to work my fingers. Where most of the other Master's &
Grand Master's their fingers seem to think for themselves, or so
it seems after watching the fine collection of DHT LMP's.
Comments : E2M1 - Dance at the Start
E2M8 - Dance at the Start
E3M4 - Dance after killing the Demon & Trooper's
Author info : IBM Computer Technician / Certified Apple Macintosh Technician
(You'd have to be "CERTIFIED" to work on Mac's! :( Just Kidding)
All the Barrels in my doom wad have been replaced by the very fine
MACBAR patch that turns them into nice little Plus's to blowup in
someone elses face. "Here, have a little Macintosh dirtbag!"
Another fine addon is the Chook Launcher, hard to play with a crotch
mounted rocket launcher, gotta fire chickens from the shoulder!!
Death Match is where doom really shines! Nothing better than wasting
away a whole day or two with non stop Death Match play. Local Ether
on everybodys machine, (don't got ether, well here is a card!) Playing
over the phone is okay but it does lack speed in some wads. With a
modem link you can't take the pleasure of killing the RED player as
he does stand out very nicely!
When not working it's either Doom Deathmatch or collecting WAD files
(One of my buddies had his VAX account closed from sucking down many many
wad's off of every site he could find, WAD's we got Wad's)
Another fine adversion when not playing Doom is Mortal Kombat 2 on the SNES
as the PC version is really not quite the same.
As for the "Doom Clones" forget it! Seen ROTT & Dark Forces and even Marathon
for the Mac. Marathon would be a good play but the other's will never compare
to the playability of Doom.
Can't wait for Quake...
